Fall Season’s Tea Club
As the weather begins to cool and the days become a little quieter, we’ve selected three teas for this season that each offer a very different expression of tea.
From the gentle comfort of a lightly roasted Taiwanese oolong, to the rich sweetness of Yunnan Da Bai Black Tea, and finally the bold mountain character of an ancient tree Ban Pen Raw Puerh, this collection invites you to slow down and enjoy the changing season, one cup at a time.
Grown on a biodynamic farm in Pinglin, Honey Oolong was created as an experiment in very light roasting. The gentle roast brought out an unexpectedly charming honey aroma while preserving the tea’s natural freshness. Bright notes of lemongrass and pomelo mingle with delicate elderflower honey, creating a tea that is refreshing, soft, and wonderfully comforting. We love this tea not only for its beautiful flavor, but also for the feeling it brings. It is a quiet and soothing cup that seems to offer a little comfort to the soul, whatever kind of day you’re having.
Made from the same tea material as our Yunnan Silver Needle, Yunnan Da Bai Black Tea offers a completely different expression of the beautiful Da Bai cultivar. Through black tea processing, the leaves develop a rich and full flavor while retaining their natural sweetness. It has a velvety mouthfeel and a deep, satisfying taste, with layers of honeyed sweetness, ripe fruit, and subtle floral character. Smooth, rich, and lingering, it is a wonderful example of how the same tea material can reveal an entirely different personality through a different style of craftsmanship.
Ban Pen is a mountain tea growing area located near the famous regions of Laobanzhang, Bulang, and Hekai. Its teas are known for their thick texture, strong mountain character, and balance between power and elegance. Our 2026 Ban Pen Raw Puerh is made from material harvested from approximately 300 year old trees. The tea is thick and rich, with a bold yet controlled character. A pleasant bitterness appears at first, then transforms into sweetness within seconds, bringing a pronounced returning sweetness and salivation. Subtle floral notes add brightness to the deep tea body. Powerful but never aggressive, the tea leaves an exceptionally long and lingering finish. This is a tea to savor slowly, a beautiful expression of the strength, depth, and wild character of Ban Pen.
