Fall Season’s Tea Club
As we ease into fall and the weather begins to cool, many of us find ourselves reaching for more tea to bring warmth and comfort. We hope these selections accompany you beautifully through the early days of the season.
White tea, with its gentle and approachable character, is enjoyed year-round. This season, we’re excited to share two exquisite white teas from Tai Mu Mountain in Fuding, China—a region celebrated for producing some of the world’s finest white teas. The best teas here come from high elevations, where ideal conditions nurture rich, nuanced flavors.
Both white teas in this season are Bai Mu Dan (also known as White Peony), made from one tender bud and two young leaves, plucked early in spring, yielding a fuller body and layered complexity. Crafted by a highly skilled farmer using traditional techniques—sun withering followed by indoor withering—each tea reflects its distinct origin.
White Peony (sustainably farmed): grown on the farmer’s own land using sustainable practices, this tea has a fuller mouthfeel with notes of green apple, melon, and lemon verbena.
Tai Mu Mt. Bai Mu Dan (wild-grown): harvested from wild tea trees in higher elevations of Tai Mu Mountain, this version is clean, airy, and fragrant, finishing with a minty freshness and gentle warmth in the stomach.
It’s a delightful experience to compare these two teas—crafted by the same hands, yet shaped by different landscapes.
To complement them, we’re also sharing Premium Da Hong Pao, a classic oolong from the cliffs of Wuyi Mountain. Harvested in 2022 and aged beautifully, it is now smooth and balanced, with toasty and peachy notes and lingering clean mineral sweetness. Comforting and effortless, it glides down the throat with a silky texture that both soothes and cools.
As the days grow shorter and the air turns crisp, may these teas bring you warmth, joy, and a sense of seasonal rhythm.
